Ceramic Artist of Shigaraki ware.
I, Aiko Watanabe, was drawn to Shigaraki ware and began making pottery using wood to fire in an anagama kiln, creating a range of pieces that included jars, flower vases, tea bowls, and figurative works. I wish to create pieces that have a duality of strength and delicacy. My kiln is located in the Iga region, Mie, Japan.
