The Imaginary House

Uwe Wittwer (Switzerland), Aiko Watanabe, and Jürg Halter (Switzerland) have developed works based on the film “Ugetsu Monogatari” (directed by Kenji Mizoguchi, 1953) using the respective art forms of watercolor painting, ceramics, and poetry. It is an attempt at creative dialogue that approaches the complex form of “narrative” that can only be conveyed through art.

ウーヴェ・ヴィトヴェール（Uwe Wittwer、スイス）、渡辺愛子、ユルク・ハルター（Jürg Halter、スイス）が水彩画と陶芸、そして詩というそれぞれのアートフォームで、映画『雨月物語』（溝口健二、1953年）にもとづく作品を展開しました。アートにしか語りえない複雑な「物語」の形式にアプローチする創造的な対話の試みです。
